Curious George : Movie Review

Time to monkey around with the latest Curious George DVD…

My children and I watched the Curious George DVD recently. My 7 year old boy loved it. He giggled with delight at the innocent trouble Curious George got into on his journey from the jungle to the city. My older boys aged 11 and 12 didn’t like the DVD too much. They felt it just wasn’t for their age. Curious George acted sort of like a young child. Little kids love it though. I thought it was super cute and the story was fun to watch.

This animated major motion picture tells the heartwarming and hilarious tale of an incurably curious monkey with an insatiable taste for exciting adventures and his human friend Ted, otherwise known as The Man with the Yellow Hat. It is quite funny how Ted ended up with the yellow clothes and hat, which are what caught Curious George’s attention in the first place. The songs are chart-topping by multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jack Johnson, and produced by Ron Howard and Imagine Entertainment, the film features the incredible voice talents of Will Ferrell, Drew Barrymore, Eugene Levy, Dick Van Dyke, Joan Plowright and David Cross. This is a G-rated DVD. (Thanks goodness!) Curious George is an instant classic that delivers wholesome family entertainment sure to delight kids.
