Coming in 2014 from AMC (the network that brought the world Breaking Bad, Mad Men and The Walking Dead), is a series set during the American Revolution. In 1778, Abraham Woodhull is a New York farmer, who finds himself a spy for the Continental Army under orders from General George Washington. He bands together with childhood friends to form what would be known as the Culper Ring.

The series stars Jamie Bell as Woodhull, as well as an ensemble cast that includes Meegan Warner, Daniel Henshall, Burn Gorman, Seth Numrich, Heather Lind, Kevin McNally, Angus Macfadyen, J.J. Feild, Amy Gumenick. Created by Craig Silverstein, the series is not the first to be set in the period. HBO released the 2008 miniseries, John Adams, to critical acclaim.

Stay tuned to Movie Vine as we’ll keep you posted on further developments regarding the series. Be sure to check out the first trailer below.
