
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, the mythic action epic film ‘The Odyssey’ takes place after the Trojan War, where Odysseus faces a dangerous voyage back to Ithaca, meeting creatures like the Cyclops Polyphemus, Sirens, and Circe along the way.
‘The Odyssey’ stars a stacked mega cast: Matt Damon (Odysseus, as the legendary king), Tom Holland (as Telemachus, Odysseus’ son and prince of Ithaca), Anne Hathaway (as Penelope, Odysseus’ wife and queen of Ithaca), Robert Pattinson (as Antinous), and Lupita Nyong’o, with Zendaya (as Athena, goddess of wisdom and war), and Charlize Theron (as Circe, a goddess and witch).
Based on Homer’s Odyssey, an ancient Greek epic poem, the film ‘The Odyssey’ was produced by Emma Thomas and Christopher Nolan and executive-produced by Thomas Hayslip. Production companies are Syncopy and Universal Pictures.
Rounding out the notable cast are Jon Berthal (as Menelaus), Benny Safdie (as Agamemnon), John Leguizamo (as Eumaeus), Himesh Patel (as Eurylochus), Will Yun Lee, Mia Goth (as Melantho), and Jimmy Gonzales (as Cepheus).
