Written and directed by Jon Shaivitz, the drama film ‘Roses on the Vine’ centers on a single father, Billy, trying his best to provide for his young daughter in the harsh urban landscape of Los Angeles. Billy attempts to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and love, doing whatever it takes to scrape by. Crisscrossing the city via scooter each day and barely making ends meet as a delivery driver, Billy is driven to drastic measures as the debt mounts up, resorting to illegal activities which could end with devastating consequences for them both.
Desperate to put his life on a better path, and fighting against the odds to redeem himself, Billy finds himself stuck in a race against time to escape his past, before the one precious thing in his life, his child, Hazel, is lost to the foster system forever.
