
Directed by Brian Duffield, the survival thriller film ‘Whalefall’ centers on a scuba diver who, while searching for his deceased father’s remains, is swallowed by an 80-foot, 60-ton sperm whale and has only one hour to escape before his oxygen runs out. After giving up on life, the young man finds a reason to live in the most dangerous and unlikely of places.
‘Whalefall’ stars Austin Abrams (as Jay Gardiner), Josh Brolin (as Mitt Gardiner), Elisabeth Shue (as Zara Gardiner), John Ortiz (as Hewey), Jane Levy (as Eva Gardiner), and Emily Rudd (as Nan Gardiner).
Written by Brian Duffield and Daniel Kraus, based on the book by Daniel Kraus, ‘Whalefall’ is produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Brian Duffield, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum, with executive producers Richard Abate, Douglas C. Merrifield, Will Rowbotham. Production companies are Imagine Entertainment and 3 Arts Entertainment.
The film’s cinematography is by Aaron Morton, the music is by Joseph Trapanese, and the editing is by Pietro Scalia.
