Written and directed by Melody C. Roscher, the film ‘Bird in Hand’ follows the newly engaged Bird Rowe (Alisha Wainwright) as she returns to her rural hometown to plan the wedding with her narcissistic hippie mother Carlotta (Christine Lahti). Bird also has a hidden agenda, one that leads her to her mother’s new neighbors, a misguided couple on a mission to ‘rebrand’ a plantation. Truth, lies, and fantasy collide against that backdrop, leading to a surprising climax as tender as it is funny.
‘Bird in Hand’ stars Alisha Wainwright (as Bird Rowe), Christine Lahti (as Carlotta), James Le Gros (as Dennis), Annabelle Dexter-Jones (as Leigh), Jeffrey Nordling (as Dale), and K. Todd Freeman (as Bower).
Producers of ‘Bird in Hand’ include Craig Shilowich, Alex Schepsman, Danielle Massie, Cody Ryder, Sam Bisbee, Sterling Brim, and Saba Zerehi, with executive producers Lillian LaSalle, Michael Fowler, Zelene Fowler, Steelo Brim, DC Wade, Josh Peters, Robina Riccitiello, Zeus Kontoyannis, Jackie Kelman Bisbee, Lance Acord, John Craighead, and Muwaffaq Salti. Production companies are Park Pictures, Mizzle Media, Ossentra Films, Spark Features, Zeus Pictures, and The Wonder Club.
