
Directed by Kyle Balda, the mystery comedy film ‘The Sheep Detectives’ is a witty, new breed of mystery that centers on George, a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers.
‘The Sheep Detectives’ stars Hugh Jackman as George Hardy, Nicholas Braun as Tim Derry, Nicholas Galitzine as Elliot Matthews, Molly Gordon as Rebecca Hampstead, with Hong Chau as Beth Pennock and Emma Thompson as George’s lawyer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as voice of Lily, Bryan Cranston as voice of Sebastian, Chris O’Dowd as voice of Mopple, Regina Hall as voice of Cloud, Patrick Stewart as voice of Sir Ritchfield, Bella Ramsey, and Rhys Darby.
Written by Craig Mazin, based on the book ‘Three Bags Full’ by Leonie Swann, ‘The Sheep Detectives’ is produced by Lindsay Doran, Tim Bevan, and Eric Fellner. Production companies are Working Title Films, Lord Miller Productions, and Three Strange Angels.
The film’s cinematography is by George Steel, music by Christophe Beck, and editing by Paul Machliss, Martin Walsh, and Al LeVine.
