Written and directed by Bart Schrijver, the adventure drama film ‘The North’ depicts the grueling and emotional journey of two friends – Chris, a Dutchman and Lluis, a Spaniard – who reunite after a decade to re-hike Scotland’s famed 330-mile West Highland Way and Cape Wrath Trail. Brimming with both joy and reservation, they undertake Scotland’s lush, but unpredictable terrain as their days are filled with majestic mountainous vistas, creekside camping, the symphonic strains of wildlife, pummeling rain and a slew of eccentric fellow travelers each on their own paths of self-discovery.
‘The North’ stars Bart Harder (as Chris), Carles Pulido (as Lluis), along with Sharon Verdegem (as Sara), Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen (as Tom), Olly Bassi (as Richard), Gráinne Blumenthal (as Emma), McQuiston John (as Jack), Jacob Smyth (as Stewart), and Steve Walker (as Fraser).
Producers of ‘The North’ include Bart Schrijver, Arnold Louis, and Tom Holscher, with executive producer Kees de Jong. Production company is Tuesday Studio.
