Directed by Brad Bird, the film ‘Ray Gunn’ centers on Raymond Gunn, the last human private detective in Metropia, a gigantic city in an alternate future as seen from 1939 inhabited by humans and aliens. He is drawn into a case involving aliens, murder, and a multimedia star named Venus Nova.
‘Ray Gunn’ stars Sam Rockwell (as voice of Raymond “Ray” Gunn), Scarlett Johansson (as voice of Venus Nova), Tom Waits (as voice of Eyera), Matt Berry (as voice of Francis “Slugsy” Xavier), Bobby Cannavale (as voice of Venus’ husband), Alan Tudyk (as voice of Barry Vogel), Kathryn Hunter, John Ratzenberger, Michael Chernus (as voice of Sam), Patton Oswalt, and Brad Bird (as voices of Gunsol and Musker).
Written by Brad Bird and Matthew Robbins, ‘Ray Gunn’ is produced by John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Lisa Beroud, David Ellison, and Dana Goldberg, with executive producer Hannah Minghella. Production companies are Skydance Animation and Cinesite Animation.
