Word comes today that Johnny Depp, star of the beloved Pirates of the Caribbean film series is near to closing a deal to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in a fifth film. The fourth entry in the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has already accomplished a worldwide gross of over $1 billion.
