Shyamalan Takes on Nickelodean Kids Show

M. Night Shyamalan is ready to kick-off his extreme directing career with the announcment of his new film 'Avatar: The Last Air Bender'.
The film which is based off Nickelodean's prime time hit series, will unravel the mystical journey of Aang - the last Air Bender - as he himself is destined to protect the Water, Earth, and Air Nations when the Fire Nation declares war.
Shyamalan has stated that his sole intention to create this film was his penchant for the vivid, 'awesome', and realistic fight scenes seen throughout the episodes.
Young Australian newcommr, Jonathan Nguyen has been attached to play the lead character of Aang in the production commencing late 2008. 'The Black Balloon' star has also been casted to voice in Francis Lawrence's new animation 'Eddie Dickens and the Awful End', starring alongside rising actor Freddie Highmore.
Shyamalan has just wrapped up filming for his latest thriller flick: 'The Happening'.
