Middle School The Worst Years of My Life on DVD

Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is now available on DVD. Director Steve Carr is at the helm of this funny, sweet and poignant adaptation of the first book from James Patterson’s Middle School series.

After being expelled from two schools Rafe (Griffin Gluck) is offered one final chance as a mid-semester transfer student at HVMS. Before even setting foot in the door at his new school he is confronted by the sleazy Principle Dwight (Andrew Daly) and the uncompromising list of school rules. It doesn’t take long before Rafe finds himself in trouble again, and again, and again. And, that’s just on the first day. For punishment Principle Dwight does the unthinkable and destroys Rafe’s sketchbook (which in turn kills off all of Rafe’s animated creations). In retaliation, Rafe enlists the help of his best friend Leo (Thomas Barbusca) and they begin plotting to destroy Principle Dwight’s rulebook. However, in the end, they decide that it will be a lot more fun to break every single rule instead.

In the most amusing and creative ways, without taking any credit for the misdeeds, the rule breakers start crossing off their list. The more rules they break the more we realize that there is something else going on besides a bunch of fun pranks. Rafe has some huge obstacles to conquer in life beyond just trying to survive middle school. And that, as we all well remember, is difficult enough.

Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is now available on DVD, Blu-ray and VOD. Rated PG for rude humor, language and thematic elements. Special features include an exclusive behind the scenes look into the making of the film.

It's been four decades since I first discovered a passion for movies. One momentous evening in 1977 my sister and brother introduced me to Star Wars and it forever changed my life. I relocated to Los Angeles after receiving a BA in Theatre and lived in the San Fernando valley for nineteen years. Besides acting and writing, I enjoy movies, music, theatre, relaxing at the beach or in the mountains, mastering racing games, traveling around the world, and hoarding chapstick. My husband and I are currently readjusting to life back in the States after spending three years living in Shanghai, China.
