New York directors comedy about a crazy Finnish artist catches worldwide distribution

New York director Ms. Tii Ricksīs mockumentary 'Better Than Andy', will have its worldwide premiere on DVD.
The mockumentary 'Better Than Andy' is a comedy about a crazy Finnish artist called Mr. Tero Himanka (played by Finnish actor Mikko Vartiainen) who took the world by storm and became the number one leading contemporary artist in the world.
Shortly after gaining all the fame and fortune, he got fed up with all the attention and returned to his homeland Finland. In the film a New York documentarist Marian Finder travels from New York to Finland to make a documentary about this famous Finnish artist that changed the face of contemporary art forever.
The film is directed by a New York film director Ms. Tii Ricks (born 1979).
Daughter to a Finnish mother and American father, Ricks, after living for some time in Finland wanted to show the world her own humoristic vision about Finland.
- I wanted to show people the beautiful views and landscapes Finland has to offer and the kind of innocence Finland portrays.
Tii Ricks, the young female director of the film, was born in Germany, in the city of Bad Hersfeld in a US Army base. The family moved soon from Germany to New York, where they settled in Brooklyn, living right beside the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in the Fort Hamilton Army base. Tii went to public school and learned the American way of living and doing things. After Tii's dad, multi honoured US Army Officer passed away, the family moved back to Finland.
Tii has since become one of the top film editors in Finland and she has directed and edited multiple television programs, short feature films, documentaries and
music videos for which she has received several awards. 'Better Than Andy' is her first feature film and it's directed specially for international markets.
The film is distributed worldwide on DVD by America's largest online retailer Amazon.com.
In USA the film will later be available also for several retailers, major chains, other wholesalers and specialty retailers.
