The "Baby's First Sounds" video by Disney's Baby Einstein is a wonderful video that any parent should seriously consider adding to their Baby Einstein video collection. If you don't already have any of the Baby Einstein series, then you should honestly consider starting off a collection with this video. We have been observing our daughter's reactions to the video and whenever we play it, our six month old daughter becomes very vocal and starts laughing at some of the sounds she hears and also throws her hands up and down at the sight of the puppets in the video, as if this action were some form of clapping. These are not normal behaviors she displays without the video playing and we usually only see these mannerisms when she is playing with mommy, daddy or her big sister. I am aware that a lot of research has gone into the subject of whether or not these sort of videos are beneficial for baby’s and toddlers development, but I am a believer because she has other videos by Disney's Baby Einstein and we feel she does gain some sort of benefit from watching the videos. One thing we found very interesting from a parent's standpoint is that our three year old daughter also seems to enjoy watching the videos and often laughs at the puppets as well. The wonderful simple baby sounds heard in different languages is a very unique and wonderful way to introduce babies and toddlers alike into the world of speech.
